Overview

NTU is a research-oriented university. Our mission is to create meaningful knowledge and to nurture young professionals to contribute to society. Specifically, our goals are the following: (1)Put forth our research strength to make a better world; (2)Enhance our students’ competitiveness; (3)Developing Business Analytics skills; (4)Continuous and lifelong learning; (5)A supportive environment for faculty.

NTU’s management education began in 1948 with the establishment of the Department of Business Administration, which later evolved into the College of Management in 1987. Through the hard work and leadership of its former deans, the College has steadily expanded and strengthened over the years. Today, it consists of the Departments and Graduate Institutes of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, International Business, and Information Management, as well as the EMBA, Global MBA, and EiMBA programs. Our College is proud to have the most outstanding faculty in Taiwan, on par with the best institutions globally. Currently, we have 113 full-time professors, most of whom hold degrees from prestigious institutions such as Stanford, Yale, MIT, the University of Chicago, the University of Pennsylvania, and Northwestern University. In terms of academic research, our faculty members publish more than 100 papers each year in internationally renowned journals indexed by SSCI and SCI, solidifying NTU College of Management’s position within the global academic community. Currently, the College has around 3,700 students, all of whom are among Taiwan’s top talents in various fields. To further promote international academic exchange and expand our global development, the NTU College of Management established the Office of International Affairs in 2004. Soon after, in 2006, we launched the Global MBA Program, providing an all-English learning environment. In 2010, our College received accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for the first time, recognizing the outstanding quality of our international business management education. Over the years, the College has actively pursued internationalization, signing double-degree agreements with more than ten universities and fostering academic collaborations with 123 partner schools. In both 2016 and 2021, we successfully renewed our AACSB accreditation. These accomplishments have further strengthened our global reputation, and we remain committed to continuous improvement and excellence in all aspects.
