At the Rockwell School of Business, we empower students to succeed professionally and create value through the dynamic process of academic discovery, business engagement and community involvement.
Employees who want to be successful in today's dynamic global marketplace need to be able to analyze situations quickly and accurately, adapt accordingly, and act decisively, all while maintaining a professional and entrepreneurial mindset. Robert Morris University business faculty fully understand the skills students need to excel professionally, acknowledged by our AACSB Accounting Accreditation and the S. Kent Rockwell Foundation’s recent $18 million endowment naming Robert Morris University's Rockwell School of Business. Building on our initiatives through the Massey Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the endowment cultivates a spirit of entrepreneurship through a two-year fellowship program designed to support students building entrepreneurial ventures by providing a rich environment of knowledge, practice, coaching, and opportunity. Utilizing experiential learning strategies, internships, industry partnerships, simulations, case studies, and strategic plans, we give students the tools they need to succeed. We also integrate communication skills with discipline-specific knowledge and emphasize business-related technology, such as Cloud Computing in the classroom and Excel certifications. The Rockwell School of Business houses the Center for Sales Excellence, recognized by the Sales Education Foundation as a Top University for Professional Sales Education, preparing students using a sales mindset as adaptive problem-solvers and relationship builders. Together with innovative faculty, and mentoring programs across our 7 majors, we offer certificates in Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Logistics, Operations Management, and Sales, along with several outside the Rockwell School, providing opportunities for credential stacking further deepening our students’ educational experience allowing them to move forward on their career path and enhance their labor market potential.
