Overview

We prepare students to excel in organizations through experiential learning, teaching excellence, impactful research, and innovative partnerships at the intersection of business and technology.

As part of Rochester Institute of Technology, Saunders College of Business is at the intersection of business and technology. Students get real-world experiences with strong corporate partnerships and one of the oldest and largest cooperative education programs. Employers take notice, as Saunders graduates are prepared day one, experiencing 95% placement rates across all programs. Curriculum is built around an enhanced technology core. Through electives and minors, students access courses across all nine RIT colleges, covering technology, science, computing, arts and design. All undergraduate students get a unique cohort-based, two-semester program, The Freshman Experience: Biz 1+2, entrepreneurial program. There are many experiential learning opportunities through RIT resources including the Simone Center for Student Innovation, Venture Creations incubator, The Construct Makerspace rapid prototype lab, and MAGIC Spell Studios. With over 200 clubs to join, a strong enterprising culture exists outside the classroom. Students get the attention and guidance they need with small class sizes and highly accessible faculty committed to the student success. Saunders faculty experts publish their research in the world’s most respected, peer-reviewed journals and academic publications. Undergraduate and graduate students are actively involved in research activities. Cutting-edge facilities provide industry-ready experiences, such as the Sklarsky Business Analytics Center which features Bloomberg terminals and the latest data analytics tools. In ear;y 2024, the Saunders building expansion doubled the building’s footprint. Inspired by the latest technology and building features found in industry, it incorporates essential elements of applied learning and collaboration.
