Founded in 1999 as a self-financing arm of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), the School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED) offers top quality, application-oriented programmes which prepare students for promising career development in esteemed professions. The business programmes of PolyU SPEED, both full-time and part-time, span across areas such as accountancy, finance, management, marketing, hospitality, tourism, human resources, public relations, logistics and more. In addition to being the first self-financing tertiary education institution in Hong Kong to earn AACSB business accreditation, PolyU SPEED has gained from over 25 local and global professional bodies accreditation and recognition for its many programmes in diverse disciplines. Such recognition paves the way for PolyU SPEED graduates to pursue further study with top graduate schools as well as professional careers with major employers. PolyU SPEED spares no effort in conducting research in business and other areas. Supported by research funding from various external sources, PolyU SPEED has established different research centers with specific foci, not least the Research Centre for Green Business which provides and promotes green business practices and solutions in Asia’s world city.
