Overview
The Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business is a professional school whose primary purpose is to prepare its students to become principled and moral leaders who are ethical and effective decision-makers. To accomplish this purpose, we strive to select and retain talented faculty and staff with industry experiences. We encourage our faculty to engage in real world practices that support their teaching and research agendas. Our faculty emphasize teaching and learning and engage in basic, applied, and pedagogical research.
The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business was founded in 1966 as the University of Dallas’ Graduate School of Management with the mission of delivering a business management education grounded in the same values which have served as the foundation of UD since its founding in 1956 as a Catholic, co-educational University. Named in honor of two of our alumni who provided one of the most generous gifts ever received by the University of Dallas, the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business currently hosts about 800 graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, and professional education programs taught at our campus in Texas and our campus just outside of Rome, Italy. The College currently offers a wide variety of programs for students interested in pursuing a rigorous education in business grounded in real-world experience. Undergraduates can major in business or add it as a concentration to other majors while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Dallas. Working professionals can pursue a variety of graduate education options including the first AACSB-accredited Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program in Texas, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, and a number of Master of Science (MS) programs.
