Overview
The University of Exeter Business School has three key pillars: environmental sustainability, responsible leadership, technological transformation. Across all of these, we are supporting regional, national, and global businesses to respond to, and prepare for, the wicked challenges of our time – working with partners in our research and impact, teaching our students how to use sustainable and responsible business principles as they become the leaders of tomorrow, and bringing our expertise directly into organisations and boardrooms through Executive Education.
The University of Exeter Business School is proud to be considered as one of the UK’s leading institutions. We’ve achieved this by striving to be the best we can be, bringing together inspirational and internationally-respected business teachers from around the world in an environment that combines historical and intellectual heritage with modern facilities. What the School has achieved so far since its inception is remarkable - our students at undergraduate, postgraduate and executive levels are consistently measured at the very top of performance indicators; they also rank amongst the most satisfied and most successfully employed students in the UK. Research conducted at Exeter is internationally respected, and is helping to shape the world we live in. We are using our insight and expertise to redefine the role of business globally. Our research expertise focus on three important themes, all of which are helping address climate change and other global issues such as biodiversity loss, rising poverty and social inequalities: Environmental Sustainability - we believe that it is time to fundamentally reconsider how organisations embed environmental sustainability into their operations and decision making, before it is too late. Technological Transformation - our research is at the forefront of examining how organisations can harness the power of technological transformation in a socially responsible way. Responsible Leadership - addressing equality and diversity in the workplace and the nature of the relationship between employer and employee, which are transforming at speed. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, but we want more. Our students come here from more than 80 different countries and they choose Exeter because they aspire to achieve the best they can, and that is exactly our aim. We are as ambitious as an institution as the students and staff that come here, and we intend to become a leading business school - not just in the UK, but in Europe and across the wider world. We’ll continue to invest in the very highest calibre teaching staff and facilities. We’ll commit ourselves to innovative research and we’ll build on our relationships with industry and society. And we’re equally committed to ensuring our students leave Exeter having had a great time, with all the skills and knowledge they need to build exciting and fulfilling careers.
