Overview

We use experience-based learning to develop problem-solvers and entrepreneurial leaders who can leverage technology for a changing world. We provide pathways to career success, engage with partners from across the community, and build thought-leadership to support all of our stakeholders.

At the Henry W. Bloch School of Management we are very much committed to strong partnerships with organizations in the Kansas City region, including nonprofits, civic organizations, entrepreneurial startups and well-established corporations. We emphasize programs that link Bloch students and faculty with our partners throughout greater Kansas City. For students, these strong connections offer opportunities to learn from leaders in many of the region's most successful organizations and to apply what is learned in the classroom to real-world organizational challenges. We provide opportunities for experiential learning including internships, full-time jobs, mentoring, project-based learning, and faculty-led consulting assignments. Our programs continually adapt to meet the changing needs of our growing student population. The undergraduate students remark on the strong connection Bloch has to the Kansas City community. This is essential for our hands-on approach. At the graduate level, students hone skills to become innovative thinkers with an entrepreneurial spirit, whether they work for corporations or start their own business. We continue to demonstrate excellence in Bloch's masters of science in accounting and in finance. Our MBA programs provide options for every stage in a professional's career, including our Executive MBA program. For those in the public sector we offer a master of public administration, and our graduates continue to effect change in the region. With the only graduate real estate program in the region, we offer business leaders the opportunity to get the skills they need for the competitive world of real estate development.
