To advance knowledge and educate students with innovative capability in fields of management and economics for the betterment of the industry and society.
The School of Economics and Management (SEM) is one of the 14 schools of the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), which is a national key public university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education (MOE). USTB was founded in 1952, and was selected for the “211 Project” university in 1997, “985 Platform for National Advanced Disciplines Innovation” university in 2006, and “Double First-Class University Plan” in 2017. USTB pays great attention to internationalisation and was the first university after the China's Reform and Opening-up to establish international collaboration with a foreign university – RWTH Aachen University, Germany in 1979. SEM is a non-profit academic School offering a full-range of degree programmes within USTB.
