Overview
Delivering academic excellence, career success, and community engagement through sharing new knowledge and creating enriching, interactive experiences.
The College of Business Administration (CBA) at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) is a premier institution dedicated to fostering academic excellence, career success, and community engagement. Established in 1981, the CBA has proudly maintained AACSB accreditation since 1982, a testament to its commitment to quality education. With a student-faculty ratio at UWL of 19:1 and small class sizes averaging 30-35 students, CBA provides a personalized learning experience where students engage directly with experienced professors. The CBA offers eight majors and eight minors, blending rigorous academics with real-world applications. Experiential learning opportunities abound, including internships (with over 565 reported for-credit in recent years), the Spellman Fund student investment program, and the annual Eagle Sales Competition. The Kwik Trip Integrated Core Program enables students to tackle interdisciplinary business projects, while community partnerships, guest lectures, and networking events enrich the curriculum. Innovation is central to the CBA, exemplified by the recent $24.6 million renovation of Wittich Hall, which now houses cutting-edge facilities designed for collaboration and student success. The college continually adapts to industry needs, launching a Business Analytics major and expanding international business programs. Philanthropic investments, such as the Swenson-Baier Engaged Faculty Fellow and Community Engaged Fellowships, further enhance student experiences. With strong employer demand, an impressive graduate placement rate of 95.7%, and deep community ties, the CBA equips students with the skills and connections needed to thrive in today’s business world.
